If Obama is elected do you feel that the increased taxes will cause you to lay off workers?
I have calculated it for my business and 13% will have to be let go.

I am, yes. I’m tempted to simply close down the operation and lay off everyone if he gets into office. If all of my profits get eaten up in taxes, why bother working. To be honest, I don’t have to work but since I do, I’m not going to do it to support Obama’s social programs. Income redistribution is not my bag.

I’m not.
At least you didn’t claim that you own a SUCCESSFUL "small business", because anyone that spends as much time goofing off on YA as you do is probbaly one of the failures that bush is begging for $700 BILLION to bail out!

My boss already has had to do it. I can’t see him staying in business with higher tax increases, yet he is a hard core liberal. Go figure?

I am and I do not believe the increase will be significant enough to cause me to cut any jobs. Also, with the proposed increases in infrastructure it is likely more people will have jobs making that infrastructure and more money in their pockets from long term investments and not simply tax cuts. In the long run, our infrastructure being modernized will result in less money being spent for transportation/fuel costs and, likely more money in my pocket, than a simple tax cut.

My husband and I are business owners. Without question we will have to change things. People do not understand how corporate taxes affect small business. We pay taxes on taxes on taxes! Our corporation pays "no" taxes because the income generated from the business gets taxed to our individual tax returns. We pay "no taxes" for the corporation on paper only, but we still pay payroll taxes, equipment taxes, etc……We are actually looking at how we can adjust, if we even can.
Yeah, it is going to be really bad for us.

I am and if Obama is elected I ‘ll have to fire my self! It will mean forced retirement going out of business and relying solely upon my VA disability pension & working flea markets, of course in my state the "truth squad" is strong arming votes for Obama
